摘要: We study the impact of Austrian Employment Act for Disabled which grants extended employment protection, requires a hiring quota firms, and subsidizes severely disabled (SD) workers. Using large sample eligible individuals we compare workers before after acquiring legal SD-status. Unsurprisingly, find that holding SD-status is associated with lower earnings. However, job when have substantially better subsequent prospects SD-award than before.
