摘要: Panicle architecture is an important character that influence reproductive success and contributes directly to grain yield. In the present study, we evaluated diversity of panicle traits in 77 indigenous rice landraces from Koraput compared with three popularity cultivated hybrid varieties locality for possibility using crop improvement program. Significant morphological variations such as number, angle, weight, length, number weight were recorded studied landraces. Based on principal component analysis, first two axis captures 56.34% total variation indicated significant variability among genotypes. flag leaf area are major determinants phenotypic diversity. Multiple correlation between positively correlated negatively associated angle chaff number. The genetic advance percentage mean (GAM) ranged 22.19% length 147.02% angle. High GAM along heritability was observed selection during improvement. Some Matidhan, Bhatagurumukhi, Chiklakoli Kamuntana remarkably showed superior higher panicle, which can be used future breeding
