摘要: Three tributary valley systems of the Almeria Canyon (Dalias, Andarax and Gata) located on Margin (Alboran Sea, SW Mediterranean) were studied using high-resolution techniques including swath bathymetry TOPAS seismic reflection profiles. A detailed morphological stratigraphy study shows that (TVS) are formed by two types valleys: gullies leveed channels. Dalias TVS is best developed system, covering an area more than 300 km 2 from shelf-edge off Cabo de to (100‐1500 m depth). covers about 65 , shelf River mouth westernmost branch (40‐300 Gata 100 (200‐650 Tributary can be divided into models based morpho-seismic study: sea level-controlled model sediment supply-controlled model. The includes TVS. This mainly governed level fluctuations, valleys grow as a result activity turbidity currents hemipelagic sedimentation, displaying retrogressive upslope pattern. valleys’ development would have been favoured glacio-eustatic oscillations during Late Quaternary. tentative chronostratigraphic correlation has made, relating evolution with Marine Isotopic Stages curves. Tectonics margin physiography play secondary role in this type valley. applicable growth controlled ephemeral discharges River. small-scale slope, which channel fluvial supplied form hyperpycnal currents. last highstand level, once coast-line reached its present situation.
