摘要: Movements, ranging behavior, and social organization of the ricefield rat (Rattus argentiventer) were studied by radiotracking in a rice field West Java, Indonesia. Home ranges estimated minimum convex polygon method found to be significantly larger nonbreeding season than breeding season. During season, males had home did females (3.20-3.24 ha, as compared 2.51-2.34 ha), but no sexual differences Overlap between occurred during especially for males. rats appeared nomadic, nests seemed distributed at random within ranges. Males never share Habitat use was investigated recording percentage occupancy following habitat elements: paddies, banks, vegetation. Totals 63% 60% radiofixes made paddies rainy dry seasons, respectively. Paddies probably used feeding, nest construction, protection from predation.
