摘要: Abstract The rate law for the manganese(II)-induced decomposition of peroxomonosulfate ion, HOOSO 3 − , is with constants k Mn = (5.1±0.3)×10 −3 and (9.7±0.2)×10 M 1 2 s −1 at 50 °C in H SO 4 HClO media, respectively. constant sensitive to nature concentration anion. values Δ ‡ S are 31±2 kJ mol −194±5 J K respectively, . presence manganese(III) as an intermediate a minor product confirmed. Peroxodisulfate, presumably from chain termination, has been used estimate length. On basis all data, mechanism quite different most metal-induced decompositions postulated some consequences complications elaborated.
