摘要: Positron emission tomography (PET) has proved itself to be valuable in the evaluation of patients with a wide array gastrointestinal (GI) malignancies. Subsequent development fusion imaging PET and computed (PET-CT) scanners significantly advanced capabilities by combining functional data the(18)F-labeled glucose analogue fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) conventional anatomic provided CT. This article reviews evolving role FDG PET-CT initial assessment monitoring GI tumors. Specific applications are discussed, normal variants benign findings frequently encountered during tract reviewed.
