摘要: A new inorganic–organic hybrid coating containing epoxy-functionalized cubic silsesquioxane (CSSQ) has been developed, which can be polymerized cationically by UV radiation. This solvent-free solution used as for polythiourethane (PTU) substrate. The surface properties of the film were determined adhesion and scratch resistance. excellent films on substrate was observed at initial stage before weathering, but deteriorated after exposure to sunshine. low viscosity (∼ 15 mPa s) leads fast curing formation during photopolymerization reaction. failure evaluated atomic force microscopy (AFM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray photoelectron (XPS) analyses. AFM images showed that is smooth stage, a texture developed weathering. shrinkage due increase in crosslinking density postpolymerization would affect roughness XPS analysis indicated occurred photodegradation PTU weathering resistance significantly improved adding absorbers, protected polymer from photodegradation. advantages include cure speed, formulation, film. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
