摘要: The effect of addition fat on in vitro gas production, volatile fatty acid (VFA) true digestibility (IVTD), and ammonia-N concentration was assessed by incubation a simulated total mixed ration buffered rumen fluid using an technique. Fat sources were corn oil (CO), tallow (TL), yellow grease (YG), potassium soaps (K-soaps) CO, YG, TL. Addition YG increased (P<0.001) production while TL had no effect. Neither nor affected IVTD VFA production. either or decreased acetate propionate CO but However, with concomitant decrease the to ratio. K-soaps depressed IVTD, concentrations. also caused marked increase absence negative effects fermentation parameters response inclusion form triglycerides system at up 25% DM suggests that have much less than corresponding free acids. In contrast, each respective detrimental fermentations.
