摘要: Abstract The stability of trans-rosmarinic acid (trans-RA, an important phenolic compound with anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral properties) exposed to different stress conditions (daylight, higher temperatures, solvents, humidity) was investigated. Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS) used analyse the degraded samples, structural identification degradation products assigned based upon MS fragmentation pattern. GC–MS method validated in terms linearity, precision as repeatability, accuracy, limit detection (LOD), quantitation (LOQ) recovery. experiments were performed on pure trans-RA present commercially available rosemary extract. cis-isomer RA only product. results showed that readily isomerized into its cis-form within a few hours when dissolved ethanol, methanol or tetrahydrofuran, darkness daylight at temperatures. Isomerization took place greater extent protic than aprotic solvents. Trans-RA solid state found be stable for up three months under all tested conditions. described also applied determination eight species Lamiaceae family.
