摘要: Abstract The Scottish electricity network is currently in a transition towards becoming 100% renewable. Offshore wind, due to large natural resource, expected be key this transition. In addition the anticipated environmental benefits, increasing share of offshore wind bring economic benefits region. study two multi-sectoral modelling methodologies – Input-Output (IO) and Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) are used measure potential impacts on Scotland arising from both construction operation planned increase capacity between 2018 2025, with comparisons made models development stages. With focus economy it important only expenditures within Scotland. Found using IO (forward-looking myopic) CGE techniques, raises employment Gross Value Added (GVA) magnitude timing change critically depend model type closure. This first author’s knowledge specific which helps policy makers understand those elements could affect possible success current wind.
