摘要: Rationale, aims and objectives  To evaluate adherence to guidelines for prophylactic antibiotic use in total knee replacement (TKR) hip (THR) procedures examine the associations between guideline health care outcomes. Methods  Using nationwide insurance claims data, all adult inpatients undergoing TKR or THR at teaching hospitals from 2002 2006, were included. Guideline rates assessed every year according national introduced 2004. Multiple regression analyses with generalized estimating equations models used relationships deliberate variables. Results  The stably increased 14.07% 28.34% 2006. 2006 dataset included 12 863 observations. results revealed that was negatively associated length of stay expenses β = −0.0207 −0.0087, respectively (P < 0.0001). 30-day readmission rate 1.54% among patients seen it significantly different two groups, 0.90% group 1.82% non-adherence being readmitted (P = 0.0002). Conclusions  antibiotics is improving Taiwan a shorter stay, fewer medical lower rates. Promoting evidence-based practice may be beneficial providers.
