摘要: Abstract The random arrangement of glass fibres in resin matrices produces composite materials which have planar isotropy and are great importance to many structural engineering applications. Random fibre composites offer a good combination mechanical properties thus extensively used various industries. This study deals with the characterisation strength fracture behaviour fibre-reinforced polyester composites. concepts Linear Elastic Fracture Mechanics (LEFM) been applied these obtain meaningful toughness parameters. It is shown that substantial amount slow crack growth occurs prior unstable total material should be studied by applying Crack Growth Resistance Curves (R-Curves). These curves can then determine value candidate stress intensity factor, K q , point instability. Notch Bend Tests (NBT) were performed estimate energy for material. debonding mechanism dominant predicted considering absorbed pull out process.
