摘要: Metals play a dual role in biological systems, serving as essential co-factors for wide range of biochemical reactions yet these same metals may be extremely toxic to cells. To cope with the stress increases environmental metal concentrations, eukaryotic cells have developed sophisticated sensing proteins which respond elevations concentrations. This signal is transmitted stimulate cellular transcriptional machinery activate expression detoxification and homeostasis genes. review summarizes our current understanding genetic mechanisms underlie responses via metalloregulatory transcription factors.
