摘要: Abstract The triol 1,1,1-tris(hydroxymethyl)ethane combines with tetrahydroxy borate [B(OH)4]− in alkaline aqueous solution to form a mixture of complex anions, one which is isolated upon crystallization. structure [Na(H2O)3][CH3C(CH2O)3B(OH)] has been determined by X-ray crystallography. anion cage all three oxygen atoms are attached the tetrahedrally-coordinated boron atom. These BO bond lengths 1.492 A BOH length 1.407 A. sodium ion surrounded octahedrally six at distances from 2.33 2.51 A, hydroxyl group on and remainder water molecules. molecules hydrogen bonds cage.
