摘要: Many activated carbons and carbon blacks possess ion electron exchange properties. Because they also conduct electricity, the potential of redox couples may be controlled by a applied to electrodes composed these materials. Hence behave as ion-exchange adsorbents that electrically “regenerated”; reduction carbonium cations releases adsorbed anions whereas oxidation hydroquinones cations. This property would considerable interest for demineralization saline waters if analogous materials could produced containing stronger acidic or basic groups. As first stage in their development new semiconducting organic polymers must synthesized. Attention has been focused initially on resulting from simple modifications standard procedures synthesizing triphenylmethane dyestuffs. These are p-type electronic semi-conductors. Variations mode synthesis have enabled some conclusions drawn mechanism conductivity.
