摘要: In the built environment (BE) sector, co-creation process of design demands understanding requirements (as viewed by parties involved), mobilisation tacit knowledge, negotiation, and complex exchange information. The need to collaborate over distance has further exacerbated complexity process, and, in itself, represents a significant challenge for BE professionals who are increasingly expected undertake this within globally distributed virtual teams. research aims identify key success factors develop guidance international collaborative projects, via implementation courses UK Canadian universities three academic years. Questionnaire surveys, focus groups, observation online meetings, personal reflections provided data analysis. findings reveal significance perceived risk collaboration difference preferred communication mode between architects civil/structural engineers. These suggest impact training subject discipline, that opportunity co-located working helped development trust. is aimed at educators wish implement activity their courses.
