摘要: Abstract Patients with treatment-resistant epilepsy (TRE) frequently exhibit memory and attention deficits that contribute to their poor personal societal outcomes. We studied the effects of adjunct treatment pharmaceutical grade cannabidiol (CBD) oral solution (Epidiolex®; Greenwich Biosciences, Inc.) on control processes related stimulus conflict resolution in patients TRE. Twenty-two TRE underwent 3 T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) before receiving (PRE) after achieving a stable dose CBD (ON). Functional MRI (fMRI) data were collected while performed 2 runs flanker task (FT). instructed indicate via button press congruent (CON) incongruent (INC) conditions. t-tests examine FT at PRE ON visits compare using derived general linear model (GLM) (INC – CON). generalized psychophysiological interaction (gPPI) analyses assess changes condition-based functional connectivity FT. Median time between fMRI was 10 weeks, median follow-up 25 mg/kg/d. From ON, participants experienced improvements seizure frequency (SF) (p = 0.0009), severity (Chalfont Seizure Severity Scale (CSSS); p
