摘要: How might definite spatial scale be determined on the basis of monocular optic flows? The evidence for perception distances in depth from flow indicates that head motion is essential accurate performance. Accordingly, we propose a solution entails use symmetries physically form oscillatory trajectories. hypothesized notable two other respects. first time-dimensioned variable (Lee, 1974). This strategy takes advantage fact metric temporal scaling preserved flow. Second, somatosensory information about amplitude used to distance intrinsic units. An alternative multimodal would require velocity motion, but studies vestibulo-ocular reflex indicate adequate may not available. Finally, discuss means testing proposed solution.
