摘要: Despite the many debates about usefulness of nonspeech oral motor exercises (NSOMEs) in treatment speech disorders, few controlled experiments have evaluated their efficacy remediation phonological/articulatory disorders (PADs). More importantly, relative effect NSOMEs compared with traditional production (PT) has not been established. The current study employed an alternating design to evaluate changes sounds targeted by and PT nine children PAD. Each subject received on two linguistically distinct which one sound was treated second PT. difference efficacy, measured as percentage change target for versus PT, using a paired T test. Because typically are used ready child subsequent comparison accuracy made between NSOME-first PT-first sessions. Results demonstrated statistically significant type greater gains NSOMEs. Further, no facilitative noted; however, choice targets may contributed this null effect. Although additional investigation is warranted, does support
