摘要: This study investigates choking in the optical cavity of a CW HF or DF chemically-pumped laser. Choking can occur because large heat release when flow is constrained by plume shrouds. An analysis procedure described that starts oxidizer and fuel plenums, follows both gases through nozzles where viscous, into constant area laser mixing addition occur. A parametric investigation performed centers around He diluent case an N/sub 2/ case. The parameters are varied include plenum conditions, composition, nozzle geometry, etc. most important results (1) more likely to choke than one with 2/, (2) stagnation temperature ratio dominant parameters, (3) shifting from lead choking, (4) geometry has minor effect on (5) Reynolds number scaling for demonstrated.
