摘要: Abstract A new automatic peak detection algorithm is developed and applied to histogram-based image data reduction (quantization). The uses a signal derived either from the histogram or cumulative distribution function locate peaks in histogram. Specifically, gray levels at which start, end, attain their maxima are estimated. To implement reduction, gray-level thresholds set between peaks, chosen as quantization levels. results of using proposed for purposes presented case various images.
