摘要: The mapping of complete sets genes, transcripts and proteins from many organisms has prompted the development new ‘-omic’ technologies for collecting analysing very large amounts data. Now that tools to generate interrogate such data are widely used, much focus biological research begun turn towards understanding systems as a whole, rather than studying their components in isolation. This broadly defined approach is being deployed across range problems scales organisation, including aspects animal sciences. Here I review selected examples this applied poultry livestock production, product quality welfare.
