摘要: Superplastic elongations in excess of 400 pct have been observed tension testing at 573 K (300 °C) and strain rate έ= 2 × 10-3 s-1 for a thermomechanically processed Al-10.2 Mg-0.52 Mn alloy. The thermomechanical processing consists solution treatment hot working, followed by extensive warm rolling °C), temperature below the solvus Mg This results fine subgrain structure conjunction with refined homogeneously distributed β(Al8Mg5) MnAl6 precipitates. does not statically recrystallize when annealed but appears to continuously during deformation such resulting grain deforms minimal cavitation. At temperatures above Mg-solvus,e.g., 673 (400 recrystallization growth occur readily rela tively coarser structures which deform superplastically boundary sliding
