摘要: Aging is associated with the accumulation of DNA damage. High expression repair genes has been suggested to contribute prolonged lifespan in several organisms. However, crucial contributing longevity remain unknown. Termite kings have an extraordinary long compared that non-reproductive individuals such as workers despite being derived from same genome, thus providing a singular model for identifying longevity-related genes. In this study, we demonstrated termite express higher levels breast cancer susceptibility gene BRCA1 than other castes. Using RNA sequencing, identified 21 king-specific among 127 newly annotated Reticulitermes speratus. quantitative PCR, revealed some highly expressed were significantly upregulated reproductive tissue (testis) their somatic (fat body). Notably, fat body was more 4-fold workers. These results suggest partly contributes and tissues kings. findings provide important insights into linkage between
