摘要: Purpose: To determine the prevalence of postpartum depression (PPD) among Hispanic immigrant women seeking healthcare services at a community health clinic. Data sources: Of 116 recruited, 96 comprised final sample. Using Beck PDSS-Spanish version, participants were screened for symptoms PPD. Conclusions: The significant PPD was 54.2% entire Nearly 66% who positive scored above listed cutoff score suicidal thoughts. Women divided into four age groups from 2 to 48 weeks; rates ranged 50% 60.9% groups. There no statistically demographic predictors PPD. Implications practice: Given that large number do not return appointments, along with high symptoms, it is strongly recommended providers implement universal screening all in pregnancy and across first year ensure prompt diagnosis culturally appropriate treatment. Further research needed assess cultural components if consistent other settings.
