摘要: The Rap proteins are members of the Ras superfamily GTPases. Two families, designated Rap1 and Rap2, have been identified to date. Within each family two denoted as A B, i. e., Rap1A Rap1B (See Fig. 1). These small GTPases share 50% sequence homology with expressed in a wide variety tissues. As is case majority GTPases, actual role(s) cellular function not yet elucidated. There evidence, however, that exert biological activities at least arenas — growth differentiation control, phagocyte-specific enzyme system responsible for generation microbicidal oxygen radicals. (For discussion possible roles platelet function, see Chap. 38) latter suggests can either play very specific certain cells or, alternatively, it serves general which involve different effector systems depending on cell involved. In this chapter we will examine current knowledge biology proteins.
