摘要: The clinical, radiographic and histologic features of sixty-one popliteal aneurysms in 36 patients are reviewed. Twenty-seven were thrombosed presented with an acutely ischaemic limb or the sudden onset severe claudication. Thirty-four patent either ulceration claudication due to tibial artery disease asymptomatic normal distal pulses. Thrombosis made reconstruction difficult at times required a femoro-tibial graft. In others was not possible leading amputation as primary treatment following failed revascularization. one more arteries frequently occluded. It is postulated that obliterative atheromatous vessels slow flow through aneurysmal responsible for high incidence thrombosis, poor graft patency rate.
