摘要: A survey of population-based cancer registries in the European Community (EC) is reported: 82 (92%) 89 replied. In 3 12 EC countries (Denmark, Netherlands, UK), general registration applies to entire population; national for childhood neoplasms also (FRG, Ireland, UK). It estimated that this period about 988,000 (excluding non-melanoma skin cancer) occurred 10 incidence data are available. Most report 90–95% completeness registration, but there evidence imprecision these estimates. Risk factors 43 registries, particular occupation (38), recording often incomplete. The use international or compatible systems coding would facilitate screening occupational hazards Community. quality information be greatly improved systematic and widespread simple methods estimate allowing confidential access death certificates.
