摘要: Abstract The magnetic median plane in the cyclotron does not generally coincide with geometrical mid-plane of system. This results radial field imperfection acceleration region around causing severe beam loss as observed central compact K500 superconducting at VECC, Kolkata. is primarily due to small focusing force (axial) and vertical acceptance cyclotron. being difficult measure under backdrop large main field, a search coil based system developed locate plane. Measurement carried out by introducing perturbations sending varying currents upper lower part circular trim an effort diagnose error. causes change position which allows find mis-alignment iron-parts current element region. distribution calculated analytically then mis-alignments elements thus obtained. present paper describes methodology used estimate its application for different analysis are compared diagnostic measurements identify loss. scheme successfully measurement correction
