摘要: Specific protein 1 (Sp1), the first transcription factor to be isolated, regulates expression of numerous genes involved in cell proliferation, apoptosis, and differentiation. Recent studies found that an increase Sp1 transcriptional activity is associated with tumorigenesis. Moreover, post-translational modifications Sp1, including glycosylation, phosphorylation, acetylation, sumoylation, ubiquitination, methylation, regulate modulate target gene by affecting its DNA binding activity, transactivation or level. In addition, recent have investigated several compounds anti-cancer could inhibit activity. this review, we describe effect various on discuss Sp1.
