摘要: Itch and pain are two distinct sensory modalities elicited by noxious pruritic stimuli, respectively. The cellular electrophysiological characteristics of itch very similar; thus discerning the mechanical difference between these has long been elusive. Recent advances in this field have revealed various neuronal receptors responsible for signal transduction transmission. These studies identified a sub-population neurons that dedicated to sensation. In addition, information conveyed spinal cord processed regulated neurons. Although both senses required our daily lives, chronic hyper-sensation results debilitating disease state. Studies now begun elucidate mechanisms peripheral central sensitization also unravel counter-regulatory at level. Interestingly, toll-like (TLRs), an innate immune receptor, implicated itch. review, we will briefly provide overview molecular pain. Additionally, discuss recently uncovered role TLRs
