摘要: Betula apoiensis (Betulaceae), a tetraploid endemic to Mount Apoi in Hokkaido, is endangered Japan. To reveal the origin of this species, internal transcribed spacers and 5.8S gene nuclear ribosomal DNA (ITS + 5.8S) microsatellite with its flanking region (Bp09) were sequenced their haplotypes determined for 12 species Sakhalin, Hokkaido Honshu Islands. The most parsimonious trees ITS + 5.8S Bp09 had different topologies no clades consistent between two trees. In both Bp09, B. apoiensis shared identical ermanii ovalifolia, that appeared have been derived from each species. This result suggests originated hybridization B. ermanii B. ovalifolia.
