摘要: Abstract Infant preference for social stimulation that included touch during a face-to-face situation with an adult was investigated. Ten 1.5- to 3.5-month-old infants (M = 2.6, SD .6) participated in within-subjects repeated-measures design. Two treatment conditions were compared alternated, counterbalanced order each infant. Under the treatment, infant eye-contact responses followed by continuous contingent smiling, cooing, and rubbing of legs feet. no-touch smiling but not touching. The results showed that, condition, emitted more eye contact smiles vocalizations, they spent less time crying protesting condition. demonstrated stimulus compound touching functioned as effective reinforcer behavior than did include touch.
