摘要: The growing attention, in literature on economic development, towards the role of Small-scale Industries (SSIs) within economy less developed countries (LDCs), is strongly associated with recognised current and social problems continuing imbalance labour market leading to high unemployment rates, persistence large intra- inter-regional socio-economic inequalities; consolidation extremely concentrated patterns urbanisation, facing these countries. On other hand, there notion stating that importance SSIs decreases course development. available empirical evidence this issue diverges significantly from afore-mentioned notion. In background contradictory evidence, paper aimed discuss arrive at some general conclusions which would help deriving a pattern studies under reference. conclusion suggests no matter how far country has developed, but as long domestic rates unemployment, mass poverty or unequal distribution income exist, will continue play an important 'last resort' for poor country.
