摘要: Interaction of quantum dots (QDs) and proteins strongly influenced by the surface characteristics QDs at protein-QD interface. For a precise control these surface-related interactions, it is necessary to improve our understanding in this field. In regard, present work, interaction between insulin differently functionalized ZnS were studied. The with various functional groups hydroxyl (OH), carboxyl (COOH), amine (NH2), amino acid (COOH NH2). effect hydrophobicity was also studied changing alkyl-chain lengths mercaptocarboxylic capping agents. investigated fluorescence quenching, synchronous fluorescence, circular dichroism (CD), thermal aggregation techniques. results reveal that among QDs, mercaptosuccinic has strongest (∆G°=-51.50kJ/mol 310K) insulin, mercaptoethanol destabilize increasing beta-sheet contents, only cysteine improves stability alpha-helix contents protein, and. Our indicate length agents, due an increase surface, which enhancement instability.
