摘要: A fiber span comprising: a first optical and second coupled to the fiber, both fibers comprising an inner core region with maximum refractive index delta, Δ 0 ≦0.1% outer radius R 1 >4.5 μm, 2 minimum delta alpha value α≧5, wherein R,MIN ; introducing differential mode delay DMD for wavelengths between 1525 1570 nm such that |DMD |≦100 ps/km, slope DMDS has opposite sign from dispersion total provided by in conjunction is tot =DMD +DMD , −1.0 ps/km
