Some Reflections on Countertransference: A Discussion of Dr. Derek Polonsky's Presentation

摘要: Following Dr. Polonsky's erudite discussion of the challenges dealing with patients low sexual desire, I briefly present a variety related topics: classification expertise; list circumstances that clinicians can expect to encounter among this problem; reminder importance trying separate personal developmental failures in classic Freudian terms from those acquired marriage difficulties; notion young couple's equilibrium is valuable, underappreciated, frequently mismanaged resource; an iteration human basis psychotherapy; and illustration constant private internal dialogue every therapist has patient, individual, or couple.
