摘要: Blood vessels deliver oxygen and nutrients to every part of the body, but also nourish diseases such as cancer. Recently, our understanding molecular mechanisms angiogenesis has increased at an explosive rate led approval antiangiogenic drugs for cancer eye diseases. So far, hundreds thousands patients have benefited from blockers angiogenic protein vascular endothelial growth factor, limited efficacy resistance remain outstanding problems. Recent studies shown new targets principles, which may provide avenues improving therapeutic benefit strategies. Our group others demonstrated that blood lymphatic vasculature, fibroblasts, immune cells, extracellular matrix associated with tumors are abnormal, together create a hostile tumor microenvironment. Antiangiogenic agents – originally designed starve can transiently ‘normalize’ alleviate hypoxia, improve outcome various therapies.
