New type of far-infrared soft mode in ferroelectric gadolinium molybdate

摘要: Abstract A new type of soft mode has been observed in far infrared transmission spectra ferroelectric Gd2(MoO4)3 40–50 cm-1 region. The is split and its oscillator strength decreases towards the phase transition. Its contribution to static dielectric constant essentially temperature independent amounts only 0.034 ± 0.008.
