摘要: A detailed record of the strontium-87 to strontium-86 ratio in seawater during last 100 million years was determined by measuring this 137 well-preserved and well-dated fossil foraminifera samples. Sample preservation evaluated from scanning electron microscopy studies, measured strontium-calcium ratios, pore water strontium isotope ratios. The evolution isotopic offers a means evaluate long-term changes global mass balance. Results show that marine composition can be used for correlating dating authigenic sediments throughout much Cenozoic precision +/-1 years. increased sharply across Cretaceous/Tertiary boundary, but feature is not readily explained as input bolide impact on land.
