摘要: Aims We present an analysis of grid-based species-richness data for European plants, mammals, birds, amphibians and reptiles, designed to test the proposition Hawkins et al. (2003a) that single best factor describing richness variation switches from water regime energy in mid-latitudes ‘breakpoint’ is related physiological character taxa. go on develop subregional models showing extent which regional model fits vary as a function study system, compare relative performance ‘water’, ‘energy’ ‘water‐energy’ southern, northern pan-European models.
