摘要: In this report, we describe genomic sequencing and analysis of different West Nile virus strains isolated from mosquitoes in the south Portugal (Alentejo Algarve) at two time points (1971 2004, respectively). Phylogenetic indicated origins for recorded introductions WNV our country, with segregating sub-clades within lineage 1a. PTRoxo (isolated 1971) was found to be very similar an Egyptian strain 1951, while viruses 2004 formed a statistically well-supported group over last decade countries lining Mediterranean (Morocco, Italy, France). Analyses putative amino acid sequences showed all main expected features described viral mature proteins except absence N-glycosylation site envelope glycoprotein PTRoxo, which may reflected as attenuated neurovirulence neuroinvasive phenotypes.
