摘要: Chlorpromazine (CPZ) has been used extensively in the treatment of psychiatric disorders, and recently shown to possess systemic anti-inflammatory properties as well. To investigate potential effects CPZ on ocular inflammation, we evaluated its action endotoxin-induced uveitis (EIU) Lewis rats. At three different dosage levels, produced highly significant reductions mean aqueous aspirate inflammatory cell counts histological scores compared controls treated with vehicle only. Analysis fluid demonstrated a similar decrease protein concentration phospholipase A2 (PLA-2) activity animals. The ability inhibit development EIU may be related calcium channel blocker inhibitor enzyme A2.
