摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter presents comments on a suggested regional newborn screening program for the Arabian Gulf States and ARAMCO experience in Saudi Arabia. Developing countries lack programs due to several factors. The control of infectious diseases, gastroenteritis, malnutrition are top priorities most these countries. Some developing nations have changed their following great success implementing immunization against childhood communicable such as measles, poliomyelitis, diphtheria. Several economic resources enable them concentrate more quality life population pay attention less urgent problems. populations various Arab closely related genetic background, health organizations operation. cooperation council, Cooperation Council, through which implemented projects common interest. Planning services region is one major targets joint efforts. problems were encountered during operation that required modifications program. justification similar or modified all ARAMCO.
