摘要: To evaluate the occupational hazard of use mercury by dentists, determinations were made 1) total and vapor concentrations in a group urban dental offices; 2) urinary excretion dentists. In small but significant proportion (14%) these offices, found excess threshold limit value, implying lack care handling mercury. The average concentration was more than twice concentration, clearly inferring that particulates cannot be ignored assessing work environment. Absorption evidenced higher normal levels, which correlated well with both ambient air estimated exposure times. 28 references, 5 tables.
