摘要: Subdivisions of the human peri-Sylvian language cortex were derived from stimulation mapping during craniotomies under local anesthesia. Naming, reading, short-term verbal memory, single and sequential orofacial movements, phoneme identification tested. Sequential movements altered same brain sites thus identified a common system for production understanding. This surrounded final motor pathway speech was by separate verbal-memory system. Between motor-phoneme memory systems where only naming or reading altered, including related exclusively syntax.
