摘要: There is an increasing interest in developing innovative means to monitor animal health through precision farming. As part of this drive, we have targeted digestive and particular the microbiota. In study, investigated effect different dietary interventions piglets, feeding these piglets with one two feeds (high protein low protein). We then evaluated its effects by measuring volatile organic compounds (VOC) that emanated from faecal samples using various forms Ion Mobility Spectrometry. Piglets were monitored for 19 days, collected on days 6, 12 19, providing a total 69 samples. The statistical analysis attempted separate either intervention or score. First, score was value based visual scoring system, 0 3, being normal 3 having diarrhoea. Then VOCs analysed regard vs Results indicated our approach able (area under curve (AUC) 0.81) VOC data. Furthermore, (AUC between 0.71 1, six comparisons undertaken). believe faeces volatiles hold potential as future health.
