摘要: A number of experiments was carried out to investigate the effect moisture, always present in environmental air, on graphite oxidation rate. porous metal with 10 µ m pores used enhance humidification at outlet vertical column that is full water and designed increase moisture helium gas when it passed through media located bottom column. The relative humidity mixture controlled between 0 % 70 by a sensor. experiment performed temperatures ranging from 873K 1573 K, mole fractions oxygen 0.09 0.17, normal condition. Assuming only affects mass transfer, we derived theoretical model for transfer included fast homogeneous CO combustion reaction. showed rate humid air half dry air. predictions agree experimental data within 17%.
