摘要: Abstract Electron transfer flavoproteins (ETF) are αβ-heterodimers found in eukaryotic mitochondria and bacteria. We have identified currently sequenced protein members of the ETF-α ETF-β families. Members these two families include (a) ETF subunits mammals bacteria, (b) homologous pairs proteins (FixB/FixA) that essential for nitrogen fixation some (c) a pair carnitine-inducible encoded by open reading frames Escherichia coli (YaaQ Yaar). These three groups comprise clusters on both phylogenetic trees, separated from each other comparable distances. This fact suggests evolved with similar overall rates evolutionary divergence. Relative regions sequence conservation evaluated, signature sequences derived.
