摘要: Background: Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma (PPAR-gamma), a ligand-activated transcription factor that forms heterodimers with the retinoid X receptors (RXRs), is overexpressed in various tumors, regulating many aspects of cancer biology. The aim present study was to evaluate clinical significance PPAR-gamma and RXR-alpha expression pancreatic adenocarcinoma. Material/Methods: protein assessed immunohistochemically tumoral samples 65 adenocarcinoma patients statistically analyzed relation clinico-pathological characteristics, tumor proliferative capacity, patients' survival. Results: Of patients, 49 (75%) tested positive for 55 (85%) stained RXR-alpha. positivity significantly associated capacity (p=0.022 P=0.043, respectively). staining intensity were histopathological grade (p=0.003 p=0.038, Significant associations size also noted (p=0.041 Moderate intense shorter overall survival univariate analysis (log-rank test, p=0.023) proved be an independent prognostic multivariate (p=0.045), whereas failed predict Conclusions: These data revealed both characteristics. PPAR-gamma, but not RXR-alpha, found indicator. However, further molecular studies are required delineate potential application prognosis management patients.
